　　好莱坞导演维克多也曾经在比弗利山呼风唤雨过，甚至获得奥斯卡奖提名。可现在，他的好日子似乎远去了。新片《日出日落》的女主演，一名A级大明星弃他而去，他一时间找不到满意的人选来代替，因为在他看来，那些女演员远远没有达到他理想中的女主角那般完美。 
 
　　一位电脑天才及时帮维克多解决了麻烦：他送来了一套程序可以设计出完美而且高度逼真的三维动画虚拟人物。借助这一程序，维克多创造出了一个“无可挑剔的女人”。因为程序名称叫“虚拟一号”(Simulate One)，于是他便用其缩写“Simone”来给自己的女演员命名。 
 
　　维克多的电影顺利地完成了，并获得了巨大的成功。“西蒙妮”一夜之间成为了大众偶像，拥有了无数疯狂崇拜者，“她”实在完美得令人无法拒绝。但是，“西蒙妮”的真正身份却没有人知道，经过精心的策划安排，维克多小心翼翼地保护着这个秘密：所谓“完美女人”只是他用电脑创造的产物。甚至连他那身为制片公司老板的前妻也被蒙在了鼓里。两名记者似乎想揭开“西蒙妮”身份之谜，但结果只是陷入了更深的迷恋中。 
 
　　维克多顺势又利用“西蒙妮”制作了第二部电影，引起了更大规模的热潮。可是同时局面也开始变得让人无法控制了。在公众想知道“西蒙妮”的真面目的强烈愿望下，维克多既没有勇气戳破这个美丽的假象，又逐渐难以忍受日益增大的压力。终于他为了摆脱这一切而“杀死”了“西蒙妮”，而他也因此逮捕了。 
 
　　维克多公布了真相，但是包括警察在内没有一个人相信他的话，人们无法接受“西蒙妮”并未真正存在过的事实。维克多怎样才能摆脱这场噩梦呢？</td></tr></table></center>
