        本片为发哥进军好莱坞的处女作，他在片中扮演来自中国大陆的冷面杀手李强，为了把家人从上海接到美国，接受纽约亚裔黑帮头目魏先生开出的条件：刺杀一位警官年仅七岁的儿子，以替魏先生报丧子之仇。在行动的关键时刻，李强良心发现，枪下留人。李强的决定招来杀身之祸，他的家人也危在旦夕。李强打算回国保护家人，在证件伪造专家梅格（蜜拉索·维诺）的协助下，他和魏先生派出的杀手展开了一场生死追逐…… <br />

        本片是以拍广告片和MTV出身的安东尼·福库投身电影界的处女作，但这部影片并没有让福库象他的同道大卫·芬奇（《七宗罪》《角斗俱乐部》）那样一鸣惊人。影片明显暴露出以这种方式打入影坛的导演的一个最大弱点，即视听效果的营造远远超过了电影的其他方面，但毕竟在三分钟内吸引眼球的注意力与讲述一个故事有着本质的不同。这部影片和他的第二部作品《诱饵》（Bait）均没能打响，尤其是本片被公认为失败之作。福库经过两部影片的磨练，已经开始成熟，最新作品是由丹泽尔华盛顿主演的《训练日》（2001），上映后赢得良好口碑，成为他事业的转折点。<br />
